DENTAL IMPLANTS and DIGITAL DENTURES

Implants

A dental implant is one of the most permanent forms of restorative dentistry that is done to replace either a single tooth or multiple missing teeth.  An implant is a titanium post (similar to the root of your tooth) that is surgically positioned into the jawbone and will allow us to mount a customized crown or crowns to replace the missing tooth or teeth.  When replacing a missing tooth, a dental implant may be chosen over a dental bridge to preserve the condition of adjacent teeth.  Dental Implants are the closest option we have to mimic a natural tooth.

Digital 3D Dentures

Missing or damaged teeth can affect your ability to bite and chew effectively, speak properly, and they can also be embarrassing when you interact with other people in the course of your daily life. Dentures can be made to replace multiple teeth or all teeth, to improve esthetics, function and stability.  We are now able to acquire extremely precise models of your mouth utilizing the latest in 3D scanning techniques and craft your new dentures with 3D printing technology.

3D printed dentures are different from conventional dentures in several ways:

1. Precision: 3D printing technology allows for greater precision and accuracy in creating dentures. This is because 3D printers use digital scans of a patient's mouth to create a custom-fit denture that matches the exact specifications of their mouth.

2. Speed: 3D printing technology can produce dentures in a matter of hours, compared to the weeks it can take to create conventional dentures. This means that patients can get their dentures more quickly and with fewer appointments.

3. Strength and Durability: 3D printed dentures are made using advanced materials that are stronger and more durable than traditional denture materials. This means that they are less likely to break or wear down over time.

4. Comfort: 3D printed dentures are designed to fit more comfortably in a patient's mouth, reducing the risk of irritation, soreness, or discomfort.
